Cloudflare's Anti-Internet Stance

The internet was built to be free and open.

Today they published an open annual letter that spells out an internet full of censorship, paywalls, and their version of a “better internet“

To be clear: we should not allow the DDoS protection company with a few infra things to dominate the discussion around how internet content is consumed for all people on the internet. It’s anti to the origional culture that made the internet great in the first place, and worse could be coming from a place of greed (you need cloudflare to access this new type of platform).

It should be rejected (and will lose, because it’s a worse product)./
